Cons: Expensive for not much product, Hard to choose your color
So, yesterday at Target, I gave in to the temptation to try out the new L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation. Basically, it goes on as a liquid, then turns into a powder once its on your skin. I was deciding between this and Covergirl's new foundation. I decided I'd get this because its summer and it has SPF so I don't need to worry about sunscreen on my face (Which is a hassle) They have 12 color options so I was pretty happy thinking I'd get pretty close to my skin color. I got the color 'Natural Beige' which is number 320. I came home and tried it out. IT IS SO LIQUIDY!! When you shake it, it sounds like its water in there. That made me nervous considering I do my makeup in my room... Which is carpeted. So, I took a risk and poured some into the palm of my hand (To avoid spilling it) it already looked too dark for my skin and very orange-y. I put it on anyways. I was pleasantly surprised! It goes on looking very dark and orange but once you rub it in more and spread it out, it blended it nicely. It made me look a bit more tan than I actually am, but I'm okay with that considering its summer and I'm expecting to get more tan. I didn't look orange at ALL! I still do worry about it being so liquid-y, so be sure to take that into consideration when/if you buy it. Also, its okay if its a color darker than you because (for me at least) it blended out nicely. But obviously, if you are VERY pale, don't get the darkest shade, because obviously it won't blend in with your skin tone. I didn't feel it transform into a powder yesterday when I tried it out, but today it feels much more powder-y. I still am not feeling the full transformation, it just feels oily (I do NOT have oily skin, I have normal skin. Not dry, not oily.) I do not LOOK oily, it just feels like that. It might not feel that way for everyone. But to me it does. So overall, I give this product a 3.5 out of 5. Just because you don't get that much product for being as pricey as it is (For a drugstore makeup that is.) And because it IS so hard to choose your color (Unless you have other L'Oreal foundations.) I hope this first impression helped you out if you were thinking about buying this! Leave first impression requests below!
xoxo,
I will be doing a check in later, after I use it a little bit more.
